HISTORY OF THE PERFUME
Sauvage by Dior is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men, launched in 2015. Created by Dior’s in-house perfumer François Demachy, Sauvage is inspired by vast, wild landscapes and the spirit of freedom. Though the name is reminiscent of 1966's Eau Sauvage, it is a standalone creation with its own bold identity. Combining fresh bergamot with spicy and woody elements, Sauvage quickly became iconic. It was released in September 2015 and famously fronted by actor Johnny Depp in its launch campaign.
